The purpose of this series is for our church family to rightly order their lives in preparation for the second coming of Christ. We want to celebrate his first coming but also receive his teaching on how we are to live until his second coming. We are answering, ‘How is a Christian to live in light of Christ’s second coming?’ 

Advent comes from the Latin word ‘adventus’ meaning ‘coming’. In Greek the word is ‘parousia’ which refers to Christ’s first and second coming. This Advent season is a time where we give thanks to God for Christ’s first coming but also prepare our lives for his second coming.
