Vulnerable Communion with God
The core of the Christian life is one of glorifying God and enjoying his presence. God calls us to approach him with the vulnerability of little children. And as we approach him, he engages with us and reveals his heart and beauty to us. Therefore as a church we devote ourselves to vulnerably pressing into him through biblical teaching, passionate worship and fervent prayer.
Intentional Community with One Another
Community is essential for all followers of Jesus. God has intended that those who are saved by Christ are brought into the family of Christ. Even amidst diverse experiences, backgrounds, cultures or classes, we stand equal with one another and unified in him. The church family is one of God’s primary instruments for shaping us and growing us in Christ. And therefore we celebrate our diversity and intentionally devote ourselves to servant leadership, careful compassion and holistic discipleship in community with one another.
Sacrificial Mission to Others
As followers of Jesus, God has given us a mission to introduce Christ to others and to see churches started locally and globally. Like the early church this mission involves unique risk and sacrifice. And as such, Christ pours out his Spirit in order to lead and strengthen us for this mission. Therefore we devote ourselves to the local and global advancement of the gospel through prayerful risk and Spirit-empowered ministry.
